FREE Classic Bus Tours Stopping at Locations across Barrow

FREE Bus Tours

The Barrow Festival of Transport event will include FREE bus tours around Barrow in Furness, dropping off and picking up at various locations. There will be three routes on the day:

  •  Walney Circular 
  • Town Centre Shuttle
  • Roa Island Tour

No ticket is required and you will be able to hop on and off to visit the various locations.

There will be a number of classic buses running through the day, so you can ride as many as you like and enjoy the experience of riding one of our classic buses.

Main Bus Stop
The main bus stop will be outside the Mall near the town hall and will service the exhibition square. 

Biggar Bank (Roundhouse)
A lovely stop for families, this brings you to Barrow’s beautiful coast where you can look out over the Irish Sea to the windfarms and Isle of Man. 

Dock Museum
The Dock Museum is a great place to find out about the history of Barrow’s ship building history and see some of the ocean liners and transport vessels built right here in Barrow.

The Dock Museum is Barrow’s maritime museum hosting a cafe and a wonderful children’s playground.

Barrow Park
Visit Barrow splendid Victorian Park where you can do putting, enjoy the playground or ride the mini steam trains.

Train Station
Connect to trains for the West Coast and Lancaster.

Abbey Road (Furness Railway)
Disembark at Abbey Road for the children’s fairground or to start your journey through the classic and vintage vehicles lining the streets of Barrow.

Roa Island
Take a trip to Roa Island and visit the Roa Island Boat Club or the Bosun’s Locker where you can buy an ice cream.

Hop on and off our FREE Classic Bus Tours, visiting: Barrow Town Hall, Biggar Bank, Dock Museum, Train Station, Abbey Rd.

Donations welcome to pay for fuel for the buses on the day.
